Tunes & Love & Happy People
Hello!
I absolutely love playing the harp at weddings - it's my favourite thing to do - from getting to know my couples in the planning process, to working with them to arrange/create harp versions of their special songs, and I take pride in being pretty darn good at it!
I studied both traditional music (the clarsach) and classical music (the pedal harp) at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and graduated with a BMus (hons) First Class in 2018, also taking specialisms in jazz, and music arrangement. Which is pretty handy (if you excuse the pun) as I use those skills every day when learning couples' special tunes across all genres.
Indoors, Outdoors, beaches, fairy glens and country parks. Family homes, hotels, and castles.
I have been playing the pedal harp and clarsach at weddings in Scotland and Northern England for over a decade, and was the 2019 Best Wedding Ceremony Act Finalist at the Scottish Event Entertainment Awards 2019.
Where is your venue? I have played in beautiful barn venues such as Comrie Croft and Kinkell Byre; Urban city-cool weddings like Oran Mor and the Fruitmarket; gorgeous Hotels like the Lodge on Loch Lomond and the Balmoral Hotel; and stunning historic locations like Boturich Castle & Dundas Castle.
I have been part of Humanist, Catholic, Church of Scotland, Interfaith and Episcopal weddings, and have seen absolutely anything and everything. If you leave your veil in the taxi then no fear - I'll be there entertaining your guests until your arrival.
